Even his own brother didn't buy it.
James grew up in the same house as Jesus, and he wasn't a fan. Then something flipped him. James became a leader of the first church in Jerusalem, and the Jewish historian Josephus records that he was stoned to death there around AD 62. What would it take for you to believe your brother was the Son of God?
For even his own brothers did not believe in him.
Paul's list of eyewitnesses says it plainly: “Then he appeared to James.” Years later Paul met “James, the Lord's brother” leading the church in Jerusalem.
